Cuirassier Officer’s Breastplate, Model 1855. Nickel-plated iron breastplate and backplate, edged with brass rivets. Shoulder straps and straps made of black leather, with lion’s-paw motifs; shoulder straps with rings and chiseled, gilded brass buttonhole plates. Black leather belt with a brass roller buckle and a single iron prong. With traces of markings on the inside. (oxidation)
